The America’s Canyonlands tour is an 8 day Tauck World Discovery tour that crisscrosses Arizona, Utah and Nevada. This is a Stories by Ken Burns tour featuring exclusive videos to inspire and inform as you traverse this unique portion of America. You’ll see national parks like Zion, Bryce Canyon and, of course, the Grand Canyon as you explore the history and beauty of the American west.

On your America’s Canyonlands tour you’ll go beyond the amazing national parks of the West. Stops include visits to Sedona, Lake Powell, and Las Vegas. Experience floating on the Colorado River and flightseeing over the Grand Canyon. You’ll travel to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon for a private wilderness safari with an experienced local guide. You’ll learn much about Arizona, Nevada and Utah along the way before wrapping up your travel tour in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Then take a private boat cruise and guided tour past some of the incredible sandstone slot canyons in the Navajo Nation, among the most beautiful in the Southwest. You also have the possibility today to take an optional four-hour excursion to Monument Valley* in the Navajo Nation (additional cost), made famous as a setting of many westerns by director John Ford; combine aerial sightseeing with a land tour by a Navajo guide through rock buttes and spires – ask at time of booking.

View these landscapes on an afternoon drive to Bryce Canyon National Park – a wondrous land of pines, pinnacles and oddly sculpted formations known as hoodoos, resembling the towers of fairy-tale castles. Magnificent spires, tinted with shades of pink, orange and red, put on a captivating show as the light changes throughout the day. Keep an eye open for the park’s abundant wildlife, including elk, coyotes, marmots, and prairie dogs, as you explore the park from your sought-after accommodations at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon. After lunch, travel across southwestern Utah to Zion National Park, where colorful sandstone canyons and 3,000-foot-high palisades tower above the lush greenery of the canyon floor. The park’s shuttle system and network of hiking trails afford access to its key geologic features – thriving vegetation includes cottonwood trees and dry desert plants; wildlife ranges from mule deer to hundreds of bird species. The Paiutes believed this place to be the home of their coyote spirit, Sinawava, while early Mormon visitors referred to it as “the natural temples of God.” Highlights include a trio of peaks known as the Three Patriarchs; the Emerald Pools, fed by waterfalls cascading over the canyon walls; and the veil of spring water trickling over Weeping Rock.

Guests without proper documentation may be denied entry and will not be entitled to a refund
  • 60 days or more before departure: $350.00 per person
  • 59-8 days before departure: $600.00 per person
  • 7-1 days before departure: $900.00 per person
  • On departure day and later: 100% of total price
  • Any changes or cancellations to airline reservations made through Tauck either before or after departure are subject to the cancellation / change policies of the individual airlines. In n some instances these cancellation / change fees may be up to 100% of the ticket price.
  • Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services, including extra night accommodations, independently supplied services, and optional excursions reserved prior to, during, and after the tour. If flight changes, including, but not limited to, flight cancellations or name changes, are requested after full land and air deposits are received, revision fees, change fees, or airline cancellation fees will apply.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing prior to tour departure. The cancellation policy will apply according to the date that the cancellation notification is received. The MINIMUM cancellation penalty is the deposit amount.
  • The purchase to trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
  • Land only “from price” is per person based on two people sharing a room together and does not include airfare unless expressly stated.
  • All prices are in US Dollars.
  • A $350 non-refundable, non-transferable, per-person, per-vacation deposit is required to reserve space for you. Payment of the deposit indicates you have read and accepted all Terms & Conditions. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit payment is processed and you receive a confirmation invoice.
  • Final payment is due 75 days prior to departure. Within the final payment date, payment in full is required at time of booking to reserve space. Reservations (land, cruise, and air) are canceled if final payment is not received by the due date.
  • Additional deposits or payments are required for international air added to the start and/or end of your vacation.
