The Cape Cod, the Islands and Newport tour begins in Boston where you’ll kick off the adventure with your welcome reception. Then you’re off to Martha’s Vineyard to see the spot where the rich, famous and powerful play in their free time. Nantucket Island is an amazing place to visit no matter the time of year and you can learn about the whaling history of this area before continuing on with your tour. Your tour of The Breakers will be a subject that you share with fellow travellers for years to come as your tour wraps up and heads back to Boston.

Weather permitting, today we will visit Nantucket Island, which three centuries ago was the whaling capital of the world. A short 15-minute flight takes you to the home of unspoiled beaches, lone lighthouses, sea captains’ houses and art galleries. While here, enjoy a guided sightseeing journey around the island, as well as a visit to the Nantucket Whaling Museum at your leisure. Your destination tonight is the quaint seaside village of Chatham, where you will feast on a New England lobster and clam dinner.

Journey up along the outer Atlantic side of the Cape to visit Cape Cod National Seashore, with its massive sand dunes towering above crested seas. Arrive in Provincetown on the tip of the Cape; once a key whaling town, it has become world-renowned over the last century as an arts colony and a major summer resort. "P-Town" is set near the summering grounds for a number of whale species; weather permitting, take a guided whale-watching cruise to see these amazing aquatic mammals roll, flip their tails, and blow through their blowholes – a true highlight of your New England vacation. Have dinner back at your resort in Chatham this evening.

Drive past some of the ostentatious mansions that served as summer "cottages" for affluent socialites during the Gilded Age, and explore the celebrated Ten-Mile Drive; your home for the next two nights of your New England vacation is set right on Newport Harbor.

This palatial "summer cottage" built by Cornelius Vanderbilt is now a National Historic Landmark.

Following an afternoon spent exploring more of Newport on your own, enjoy a delightful cruise through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. Your cruise ends with your arrival by boat at Forty 1° North Marina Resort, the city's newest luxury waterfront venue, to cap your New England vacation at our exclusive farewell cocktail reception and dinner overlooking Newport Harbor.

Guests without proper documentation may be denied entry and will not be entitled to a refund
  • 60 days or more before departure: $350.00 per person
  • 59-8 days before departure: $600.00 per person
  • 7-1 days before departure: $900.00 per person
  • On departure day and later: 100% of total price
  • Any changes or cancellations to airline reservations made through Tauck either before or after departure are subject to the cancellation / change policies of the individual airlines. In n some instances these cancellation / change fees may be up to 100% of the ticket price.
  • Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services, including extra night accommodations, independently supplied services, and optional excursions reserved prior to, during, and after the tour. If flight changes, including, but not limited to, flight cancellations or name changes, are requested after full land and air deposits are received, revision fees, change fees, or airline cancellation fees will apply.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing prior to tour departure. The cancellation policy will apply according to the date that the cancellation notification is received. The MINIMUM cancellation penalty is the deposit amount.
  • The purchase to trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
  • Land only “from price” is per person based on two people sharing a room together and does not include airfare unless expressly stated.
  • All prices are in US Dollars.
  • A $350 non-refundable, non-transferable, per-person, per-vacation deposit is required to reserve space for you. Payment of the deposit indicates you have read and accepted all Terms & Conditions. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit payment is processed and you receive a confirmation invoice.
  • Final payment is due 75 days prior to departure. Within the final payment date, payment in full is required at time of booking to reserve space. Reservations (land, cruise, and air) are canceled if final payment is not received by the due date.
  • Additional deposits or payments are required for international air added to the start and/or end of your vacation.
